#Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving to non-profit groups like Santa Ynez Valley Wind Ensemble. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy. #GivingTuesday harnesses the potential of social media and the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities.
The SYV Wind Ensemble brings free live music to our community all year long—through local concerts, outdoor performances, the 4th of July celebration, the Julefest Tree Lighting, and visits to our local retirement homes. Our work is made possible entirely by supporters and a few generous local foundations.
This Giving Tuesday, as you consider the many meaningful causes in our community, we hope you’ll include your local community band. Even a small donation helps keep our music free and accessible for all. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit community-oriented organization dedicated to providing concert band music throughout the Santa Ynez Valley, including the holiday season. The total cost of performances, including sheet music, publicity, postage, rehearsal hall rental, and even refreshments is paid for by the musicians themselves - and patrons like you!
